Greetings, Masters, Mistresses and slaves,
well, it's a challenge alright -- and i do mourn the loss of our carefully crafted playlists. still, it is TALK radio! and this has pushed us to focus on that very issue.
i've spent a good deal of time scouring the net for public domain music and had surprising success. i'll gladly share the results with all tsh's, of course, and have with several already. everything from vintage to classical, rock to experimental techno, it's out there and some of it is even good!
there's more to be found, i'm sure, and i encourage everyone to seek. i promise that if you find something that looks promising and let me know about it, i will gladly spend the time researching it and downloading anything that fits the criteria. i know many of you don't have the time that i have available to do so. please feel free to use me! heh. well, for this anyway.
in service and wishing all well,
Greetings, Masters, Mistresses and slaves -
i'll be away all next week as aaminah{S}c kidnaps me away for a much needed retreat. wenchW is going to be covering the monday reading series, doing a regular talk show, and Master Malk is going to be covering my friday night show. how i'll survive the DT's, i'm not entirely sure, but aaminah assures me she has some special plans for me.
i wish you all a spectacular week and look forward to seeing you again in a week.
in service and wishing you well,
jess
today is my first anniversary. a year ago today was my first broadcast for GTR!
being a talk show host for Gorean Talk Radio is a profound privilege for me. as a kajira, i'm offered a chance to serve the community by facilitating discussions. this means so much to me. thank you all for the opportunity to serve.
oh, was i nervous -- i hadn't known we could use the test server to practice, so i was going in cold. sink or swim! i swam. been doing the backstroke ever since, thanks to the support of the staff and community.
a huge thank you to everyone, staff and community at large, for everything! without you, i don't know that i would have come through some pretty rough times as easily as i have. you have not only given me the opportunity to serve, you've given me a point on which i could focus during hard times and the support i've needed through them. i'm grateful.
in service, and wishing you well,
jess
Greetings, Masters, Mistresses, and slaves,
the debut of the reading series was tonight. hrm. last night, given it's well past midnight now. it went well, was well attended. i recorded the readings this afternoon owing to my swampy lungs (the flu kicked up my asthma) and i enjoyed being able to participate in the room so much during the reading that i believe i'll continue to do that for the future reading evenings. it really was alot of fun, thank You, Masters, and thank you, slaves, for making it such an enjoyable event.
i bit the bullet and chose about ten of the major entries i'd worked up for the wiki for publication and... well... published them just a little while ago. mostly to test the publication interface. i do hope that it is received well and that people take an interest in it. it's a joy to once again be a librarian of sorts!
in service, with warm wishes for all,
jesszabelle
